Pearl Academy is amongst the leading global institutes in art, design, fashion and related business education. Portfolio 2013 was held in front of thousands of students and industry members and used social media integration for promotion and entertainment. Vishal Sharrma, Senior Account Manager, tells us more.
Describe your event
Portfolio 2013 is the graduating event of Pearl Academy (http://pearlacademy.com) comprising exhibitions and fashion shows put together by the graduating class of 2013 from fashion, design and business.
Why did you choose to integrate social media into your event?
Social media is the medium of choice for our younger audience and message amplification through social media platforms can be easily achieved by actively reaching out to the target audience. We used event hashtag #Portfolio2013 to curate conversations about our event.
How did your audience react to the Crowd Convergence visualisations?
Audience reaction to the visualisations were great. For some viewing their own tweet on a screen was a unique and exciting experience. This helped drive a lot of checkins and retweets from the audience present at the venue.
Why did you choose Crowd Convergence?
After analysis the options available we found that Crowd Convergence topped the charts with a comprehensive set of tools. Customisation options available are user friendly and the output even better. The visualisation options and the supporting analytics really help.
What did you think of the Crowd Convergence service and support?
During the last day of our event we needed support from the team and since it was a weekend we didn’t expect a reply any time soon. However, @Crowdconverge reached out to us on Twitter and within seconds we were exchanging mails to get things sorted. Their representative – James went all out to deliver a customised solution to us within minutes. Thank you James and Crowd Convergence for your support.
