The Moose Jaw Warriors are a Canadian hockey team competing in the Western Hockey League (WHL), a Tier 1 junior hockey league in Canada and the US. The WHL is showcasing the best junior players in North America and Europe resulting in more NHL drafted players coming from the WHL year over year. The League has representation in all four Western Canadian provinces and the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington.
Robbie Snooks, Director of Video/Web services, tells us more about their match day presentation:
Describe your event
Each year we host approximately 40+ home games where fans expect to be entertained by both the hockey and the overall match day experience.
Why did you choose to integrate social media into your event?
There is no question that social media has be come an integral part of enhancing fan experience and the 2nd screen integration is becoming an increasingly important part of our game night presentation.
How did your audience react to the Crowd Convergence visualisations?
Crowd Convergence has instantly become a success in our game night presentation. Our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter activity has grown by 600% only one short month into our season; way above our expectations. Allowing fans to share photos on Instagram, post comments to Twitter and Facebook, and have the ability to view them on the big screen in real-time has generated a lot of buzz in our arena and around the entire league. Fans can tweet their seat number to win prizes, Facebook Birthday messages for family members and Instagram themselves having a great time. The possibilities are endless.
Why did you choose Crowd Convergence?
Crowd Convergence provided us with a very cost-effective solution to engaging fans in similar ways to that of professional sport teams around the world.
What did you think of the Crowd Convergence service and support?
Crowd Convergence’s customer service and support has been outstanding. They built us a beautiful customization that’s perfectly aligned with our current branding, it was extremely easy to set up, their help tutorials were very effective and their response time for questions/concerns is amazing.
Any other thoughts or comments?
This is a very exciting and innovative time for video fan engagement and the Warrior fans have already benefited from what Crowd Convergence has to offer. We look forward to a continued relationship with Crowd Convergence.
