Bianka Gasner, Manager of Graduations, tells us more about integrating Instagram images with their student graduation ceremonies:
Describe your event
Griffith University graduation ceremonies are held twice a year at the Brisbane and Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centres. These important University events are attended by over 32,000 students, staff, family and friends. We share moderated Instagram images of students, friends and family on the big screen before the ceremonies begin.
Why did you choose to integrate social media into your event?
The use of social media at graduation ceremonies encouraged interactivity and engagement among the graduating cohort. The taking and sharing of photos on their graduation day added to the celebratory vibe of this momentous occasion.
