Crowd Convergence is proud to have been involved in Samsung Mobile’s Unpacked event during the 2014 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona in late February. We teamed up with Samsung to engage audiences during their biggest product release of the year, the unveiling of the new Galaxy S5 and GearFit products.
Our platform powered the social hub and a 2×2, 55″ Samsung LCD video wall mounted in the foyer and shared local and international excitement and opinion over the new products. We utilised a combination of our Photo Wall, Air, Bold and Timeline products to create a Twitter Wall/Instagram Wall. This package presented a vibrant and dynamic display that remained animated throughout the duration of the event.
Engagement was instant and constant with attendees submitting Tweets and Instagram images and sharing photos of their message on screen. Samsung VIPs and the tech media community were featured and favourited. Their social content was displayed alongside items from around the globe.
Crowd Convergence staff were onsite throughout the event to manage the screen hardware, provide support and assist the social media team with moderation of items.
Over the 4 hours of Unpacked we collected, filtered and processed over 300,000 Tweets and Instagram images from 16000+ users, peaking at 300 items per minute. #Unpacked trended worldwide on Twitter.
