Established in 2011 by a group of undergraduate students, the University of Michigan Sports Business Conference (@UMSBC) is an engaging forum for top sports executives to address a captive audience of future industry leaders. As a sponsor of the 2014 event, Crowd Convergence worked with the University’s top students to deliver an innovative and engaging social media activation.
Sports Business Conference Goal
To align with the theme of the conference ‘Game Changers: Innovating Today. Defining Tomorrow.’ UMSBC wanted to deliver a creative social media solution that entertained and allowed the audience to interact with presenters.
A range of Crowd Convergence social activations were used throughout the conference to meet the organiser’s objectives. A large projection screen behind the stage displayed images and Tweets from attendees and polling captured and delivered instant feedback from the audience.
Sports Business Conference attendees and presenters alike were thrilled with the social platform delivered by Crowd Convergence. Attendees enjoyed sharing their opinions and directing the conversation while instant feedback from polling allowed event organisers to shape the conference to better meet the needs of their audience.
