The Sydney Entertainment Quarter played host to the 6th Annual Rolling Stone Awards featuring an impressive crowd of talented domestic and International artists for a night of entertainment and recognition. Crowd Convergence was there to deliver a massive social wall to highlight the good, different and downright weird at the hallmark event.
Rolling Stones Goal
The liberal Rolling Stones brand sought a striking social solution that would entertain and engage the diverse and often jaded celebrity audience. The social wall had to have an immediate impact on guests, maximise branding opportunities and above all showcase user generated content in real time.
Crowd Convergence worked with event partners to design and develop a spectacular visual display that was projected directly onto the white walls of Byron Kennedy Hall. The 8 x 5 metre Zoom Wall was immediately striking and made for an engaging backdrop to festivities throughout the evening. User submitted Twitter and Instagram images were immediately displayed on screen and additionally collated with photos captured through onsite activations.
The Crowd Convergence Zoom Wall proved very popular amongst guests with over 400 images displayed during the five hour event. The diverse vocabulary of attendees necessitated a more relaxed moderation policy which only added to the authenticity of posts and brands displayed. Event sponsors and social wall branding partners Rolling Stone, ASUS Australia and Microsoft received terrific exposure from the huge display with all involved stating the interactive social activation exceeded their expectations.
We can’t wait for the 2016 Awards.
