Who said numbers had to be boring!? NRL fans have never been more informed following the integration of Crowd Convergence Match Stats for the 2015 NRL Finals Series.
- Encourage stronger engagement with the match product through better sharing of information
- Better utilise the available real estate of modern stadium screens
We’re no mathematicians but we do know how to make complex data look amazing on the big screen. Crowd Convergence was engaged by the NRL to revolutionise the delivery of match stats in-stadia. With a mandate to up the entertainment-factor by giving fans better access to information, Crowd Convergence designed displays capable of delivering real-time analysis of live and historical data. Sound complicated!? Only at the back-end. Visually, the display is compelling; and fans have never been more informed.
So here’s how it works: Crowd Convergence process data from the official stats provider and converts that information into an attractive screen display for fans in-stadia. Operators can easily filter and display relevant stats to tell the match story as it unfolds.
NRL Finals Series ticket holders have been given privileged access to a level of information that better informs the match story. And with multiple optional screen displays, stats have been delivered from gates open through close:
- Ticker: scrolling stats highlighting key match information in real-time. Run continually at the bottom of the screen over the live vision.
- Side Panel: the hero piece of the suite! Delivered charts and progressive graphs illustrating key match statistics over time.
The result brings the live match product closer to the level of information being shared with fans through broadcast. It’s also exposed a new commercial property which hasn’t previously been part of the digital signage inventory for the NRL or their Club members. With strong branding positions and eye-watering in-stadia impressions, Crowd Convergence match stats has delivered the NRL a spectacularly enhanced product for their showpiece matches of the 2015 NRL Premiership season.
