A top ASX 100 company in the banking industry engaged Crowd Convergence to connect its employees via polling at multiple global sites simultaneously.
The main event was in Melbourne with several thousand employees attending. Other sites included a second Melbourne site, Sydney, Singapore, Manilla, China and India. In all, up to 8500 employees attended the event at live sites or via web stream.
Live feedback from employees
All seven sites were linked using two-way live video streaming which allowed our client to address everyone simultaneously. Crowd Convergence then deployed our ‘mobile first’ Joinin portal as a simple, easy way for all attendees to engage with polling content using their own devices.
Our client delivered a strong message to all employees simultaneously but also wanted live feedback. We used the Joinin portal to gather information and live engagement via a number of polls. Attendees remained anonymous when responding which increased interaction and honesty. We tallied all results as they were submitted to display live on screens across all sites. We could display results from one city at a time to see how employees felt in local areas, and switched between local and international sites so attendees could also see the global results.
Our Joinin portal is a useful tool for instant feedback from an audience. Participants remaining anonymous encourages interaction. People do not have to worry about others criticising them for their opinions. By working closely with the client, we customise poll content to achieve the desired learning results. We gauge what an audience learns by asking similar questions throughout a session to measure how responses change. This gives our client insight into the evolution of audience opinion during the event in response to information.
Crew deployed across the globe
Crowd Convergence deployed technical crews and equipment to all seven sites across the globe to ensure the event ran seamlessly. PCC Event Services was also engaged to deliver a first-class communications network to support the Joinin and live streaming services. They provided redundant, balanced and consistent site connectivity across the globe. All elements worked smoothly and together we achieved a great outcome with what could have been an incredibly difficult event to run logistically.
Joinin poll encouraged thousands of interactions
The Joinin portal was robust enough to support high levels of poll traffic over short periods of time and easily catered to the 8500 audience. Our simple, easy to use portal encouraged thousands of interactions from attendees at all seven sites and provided the client with real-time, actionable audience insights.
