Crowd Convergence powers social commentary for launch of Fox Sports ‘Fox Sporting Nation’
Ten shows; all eight matches live, in high definition and ad free; 36 hours of live NRL content each week. That was the opener from Fox Sports boss, Patrick Delany in introducing his networks’ turbo-charged coverage of Rugby League at Fox Sports’ NRL season launch. Held in the cutaway beneath the Barangaroo headland in Sydney, Fox Sports celebrated the opening account of their historic seven-year $1 billion deal with the NRL in unmissable style, and Crowd Convergence took centre stage by powering social integration for the glitzy event.

Real-time moderated content display with Crowd Convergence ‘Zoom’ wall
Far from being a VIP-only event, Fox Sports invited in the punters via social media, promoting hashtag #FoxSportingNation. Crowd Convergence provided a custom social wall for invited guests and media; but also for the fans who embraced the opportunity to make their mark with so many sporting legends in the room.

The Crowd Convergence custom social wall published moderated content via our zoom display widget. The dynamic presentation was striking with a large digital display showing aggregated and moderated content from Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Content was updated in real-time and moderated by a Crowd Convergence on-site technician. We also supplied pre-configured hardware for full system integration and operation. The event was executed flawlessly and was acknowledged by media for its progressive delivery in the context of comparable marketing executions in recent times, attracting significant coverage in the days following the event.
